The 8th Grade class has just started a unit on the events that led up to the American Revolution. They will learn that it wasn't such an easy decision for the colonists to separate from Britain.
Vocabulary words such as, liberty, militia, continental army, patriot, loyalist, revolution and many more will be covered.
At the end of the Revolution Unit they will watch the film The Patriot which does a fine job of illustrating the difficulties and struggles during this period.
